Special Health Concerns

Recommendations:

Individuals with some health problems/conditions may be at an increased risk if exposed to infectious agents. Some examples of these conditions include:

  • Allergies
  • Immunosuppression - due to treatment for certain diseases (e.g., cancer, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma) or as a result of chronic viral illness
  • Pregnancy
  • Chronic Liver Disease
  • Respiratory or Kidney Disease
  • Heart Problems
